Since 2016, the Halyk Charity Foundation has been the general sponsor of the Futsal Championship, the most popular sport among students. This competition is held under the auspices of the National Student League (NSL).

Today, the NSL unites leading Kazakhstani universities and colleges and all student youth of the country.

In August 2018, the Halyk Foundation supported the Futsal World Championship, in which 25 of the best student teams from 17 countries competed – 16 men’s and 9 women’s.

The teams included not only students, but also professional players from leading clubs in Europe and Latin America. Such a championship is held every two years under the auspices of the International University Sports Federation (FISU).

In Kazakhstan, the games were held at the Almaty Arena and Halyk Arena sports venues in Almaty. Although our country hosted the World Student Futsal Championship for the first time, FISU representatives called these games the best in the history of the championship. The Kazakhstan team showed a worthy result, becoming the silver medalist of the championship. The fund allocated more than 50 million tenge for its holding.
