Employees of Halyk Bank and the Halyk Fund will donate one day’s wages to support those affected by the floods.

The staff of the country’s largest bank and the Halyk charity foundation have come forward with an initiative to donate their one-day earnings to Kazakhstanis affected by the massive floods.
The total amount of funds collected from employees amounted to almost 200 million tenge. The bank’s management decided to double the amount for transfer more than 2 times, increasing it to 450 million tenge.
Earlier, Halyk Bank and the Halyk Charity Fund transferred one billion tenge from their own funds to provide assistance to residents of flood-affected regions. Thus, the total amount of assistance provided by Halyk Bank and the Halyk Fund amounted to 1.45 billion tenge.
Halyk is committed to corporate social responsibility and is always one of the first to help fellow citizens in trouble. The bank expressed hope that the funds raised will help people who have lost their homes and property to survive difficult times.
“Every employee of Halyk Bank and the Halyk Charity Fund considered it their duty to assist those affected, especially since many of our colleagues live and work in regions under a state of emergency. None of our staff could stand aside. We sincerely empathize with everyone impacted by the devastating floods, the largest natural disaster in the recent history of our country.
