The AlALA Art-Eco Festival was held with the support of the Halyk Foundation.

On June 1, the Republican Art and Eco Festival AlALA was held for the first time in the capital’s Palace of Peace and Reconciliation. The event was organized by the Center for Support of Civil Initiatives and the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On the eve of the festival, a republican creative competition was held among schoolchildren of grades 8, 9, 10 from all over the republic on environmental topics. From the 250 works received, the jury members selected the best 36 projects in 6 different categories:
– visual art,
– performance,
– video making,
– decorative and applied arts,
– music and poetry,
– art performance.
On Children’s Day, the finalists arrived in the capital to take part in the festival and receive their well-deserved awards.
The Halyk Charity Foundation acted as the general sponsor of this event and awarded the winners with large cash prizes.
“The Republican Art-Eco Festival Aiala is a unique event, held for the first time in our country, combining creative industries, children, and environmental awareness. Through this festival, we aim to nurture children’s talents and instill respect for the environment. The Head of State emphasizes that every Kazakhstani should be a responsible citizen, an adal azamat. Our common homeland is Kazakhstan, and from childhood we must care for the environment as a core value and always unite in this effort,” says Lima Dias, Chairperson of the Board of the Center for Support of Civil Initiatives.

The festival brought together students from different regions of Kazakhstan. They are all united by love for their homeland, talent, creativity, hard work and a caring attitude towards the environmental situation in the country.
Damir Zhumabaev, student of the specialized lyceum “Arystan”:
“I am a cadet of the Arystan Lyceum. My duty is to serve my homeland, but at the same time, creative initiative is encouraged at the lyceum. I heard from other students that a contest was being held, and I decided to participate. Being a finalist in such a competition is a great honor for me. I am very happy for those who won because their works are truly amazing and talented! We bear a great responsibility for the future of our country, and it’s great that even now we can raise such important environmental issues.”
Thanks to the festival organizers for the opportunity to test and believe in myself. My summer began with very joyful moments!”

The festival also included master classes for children, including those from the Talimger team, to improve financial literacy.
This competition has generated a lot of interest from high school students, and in this regard, the organizers are considering holding an annual art eco-festival.
Support for such events is one of the foundation’s programs for solving important social problems. The Halyk Foundation strives to create equal and accessible opportunities for all children in Kazakhstan to express themselves in the fields of education, sports, culture and art.
