The Children’s Technical Creativity Center in Uralsk has reopened its doors

The Children’s Technical Creativity Center in Uralsk has reopened its doors after a large-scale renovation, which will mark the beginning of a new era in additional education for children in the region.

This project was implemented on the initiative of the head of the center Bakhytzhan Maulenov, who was supported by the Chairperson of the Legislation Committee of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Snezhanna Imasheva, the NNEF Public Foundation and the Halyk Charitable Foundation, who provided full financial assistance.

“Education development in the country is one of the fund’s main priorities. We provide grants to gifted children from vulnerable groups, equip schools with modern facilities, support teachers, and teach entrepreneurship basics to high school students. Since 2016, our fund has allocated 10 billion tenge to the education sector, including around 60 million tenge for the renovation of the children’s technical center in Uralsk. In our work, we strive to ensure that all children in our country have equal access to modern technologies and can compete successfully in the future,” said Saginbek Shunkeev, Director of the Halyk Fund.

With the allocated funds, the public foundation “NNEF” organized and carried out repair work in the center’s building. 3D printers and 3D scanners, quadcopters, action cameras, monoblocks and software, educational kits and sets for creating and programming robots, etc. were purchased.

Thus, children studying at the center will be able to acquire skills in piloting drones, creating high-quality video content, participating in races and competitions. Fully equipped computer rooms will allow students to study the basics of robotics, engineering and programming through practical activities.

“Staff from the NNEF Fund provided consultations on selecting and purchasing the necessary equipment and computer technology, and organized and carried out the building renovation. The fund’s IT universities invite the center’s teachers to attend professional development courses and are ready to provide both teachers and students with access to university resources and expert knowledge,” emphasized Maria Kovzhasarova, Head of the Education Department at the NNEF Public Fund.

It should be noted that the NNEF Foundation, established on December 15, 1998, actively develops and promotes the Lifelong Learning system of continuous education, covering all levels – from kindergartens to universities.

Deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Snezhanna Imasheva thanked the foundation for resolving the issue of providing the center with modern technical equipment necessary to improve the level of education for children.

“The achievements that children will be able to achieve thanks to modern technologies will be a significant contribution to the future of our country,” she said.

Thus, since its foundation in 1956, the Regional Center for Children’s Technical Creativity in Uralsk has become an important educational institution where children can develop their abilities in the field of technology and technical creativity, which not only broadens their horizons, but also helps them make an informed choice of profession, laying the foundation for a successful future.

The Halyk Charity Foundation was established in 2016. Today, the foundation is implementing more than 120 social and charitable projects, for the implementation of which more than 85 billion tenge have been allocated. The founders of the foundation are Timur and Dinara Kulibayev.
