The Halyk Foundation of Timur and Dinara Kulibayev received the “Patron of the Year” award for its contribution to the development of social initiatives and support of regions.
“The Halyk Foundation always strives not only to provide assistance, but also to create platforms for sustainable development. We are proud that our contribution contributes to building a strong and harmonious society,” said the foundation’s representative Galymbek Zhaksylykov.
Why a systems approach is important
The Halyk Foundation pays special attention to regions in need of support. In 2024, assistance was sent to the Atyrau, Kostanay and Mangistau regions, where the foundation created conditions for sustainable development.
Key initiatives of the fund in 2024
In 2024, unprecedented assistance was provided to flood victims. The fund allocated 31 billion tenge, most of which went to residents of Kulsary. In June 2024, Timur Kulibayev was awarded by the President of Kazakhstan for his contribution to helping the victims.
The Fund also implemented infrastructure development initiatives:
- grain terminal in Beineu,
- desalination system for the villages of Akshukur and Saina Shapagatova,
- modernization of schools in the Mangistau region,
- construction of a kindergarten in Auliekol.

Plans for 2025
In 2025, the fund will continue to support the regions by implementing key projects:
- Auyl Sport – popularization of sports among rural children,
- construction of sports facilities,
- projects to improve the quality of life.
Why 2025 is important for the Halyk Foundation
2025 will be a year of long-term change. The Foundation aims to create not one-off initiatives, but platforms for sustainable development, so that each program brings benefits and inspires other organizations to take similar steps.
