AuylFootball: The name of the Golden Ball winner has been announced

On January 25, Almaty hosted the award ceremony for the winners of AuylFootballAWARDS-2024, one of the main events of the #AuylFootball project. This project, implemented with the support of the Halyk charity foundation of Timur and Dinara Kulibayev, is aimed at developing and popularizing football among children in rural regions of Kazakhstan.

Galymbek Zhaksylykov, director of the Almaty branch of the Halyk charity foundation, noted:

“Our foundation pays special attention to the development of sports in rural areas. We strive to create equal conditions for sports and increase children’s interest in an active lifestyle, including football. About 500 million tenge were allocated for these purposes.”

Results of the award ceremony

During the ceremony, winners were recognized in 15 nominations. They were awarded statuettes, diplomas and cash prizes from the Halyk Foundation. Among the guests of the event were famous football players, entrepreneurs, public figures, politicians and journalists.

The winner of the Golden Ball #AuylFutbol, ​​Daniyar Islam, shared his emotions:

“I’ve loved playing football since I was a child, my idols are world stars. I’ve always been proud of them and followed their example! And today I myself became a winner!”

Achievements of the #AuylFootball project in 2024

In 2024, the project reached a new level:

  • 114 teams from 16 regions, including 128 coaches and more than 4,000 school-age children.
  • 100 rural coaches have completed training under the National Programme of the Football Federation of Kazakhstan and received the UEFA D category.
  • More than 1000 players are provided with football uniforms.
  • 25 coaches completed the “football management” course.
  • 14 regional tournaments and the final republican tournament were held.

Let us recall that the Halyk charity foundation, founded in 2016 by Timur and Dinara Kulibayev, has successfully implemented more than 120 social projects and provided assistance in the amount of over 85 billion tenge. Among the key initiatives of the foundation are the #AuylFootball and AUYL SPORT programs, which promote the development of sports in rural areas.
