The Halyk Charitable Fund Summarizes the Results of the Halyq Ymiti Social Ideas Competition

The Halyk Charitable Fund has announced the results of the Halyq Ymiti social ideas competition. The total prize fund for the competition was 50 million tenge.

Since the beginning of September, 405 applications were submitted from across Kazakhstan. Contestants proposed social initiatives to support, train, and employ mothers with many children, people with disabilities, and lonely elderly individuals, as well as educational projects for schoolchildren and students.

When reviewing the applications, the fund’s Board of Trustees evaluated the relevance and significance of the social issue, the feasibility and scalability of the project, the expected social impact, and the innovativeness of the proposed solutions.

The Board of Trustees of the Halyk Charitable Fund also considered the results of the public vote held on the competition website and selected 50 ideas from all regions of the country through open voting.

Each winner will receive a cash prize of one million tenge. The fund commented:

“The winners of the competition proposed truly relevant ideas that certainly deserve implementation. The participants’ care and engagement are the key to solving our society’s social challenges. We wish them not to stop at what they have achieved, to keep moving forward and conquering new heights! May all their ideas come to life—we are confident that this will make our world a better place!”

The winners shared their emotions and future plans:

“We are very happy to win the competition! Our project is Promoting Financial Literacy Among the Youth of the Country. The online training in additional professional education combines practices for developing systemic knowledge and managerial competencies for young people. We plan to launch a two-month pilot in two regions of the country, followed by wider scaling. We sincerely thank the Halyk Charitable Fund and everyone who supported our idea!” – Asemgul Abylkassenova, Nur-Sultan

“I’m very happy! I want to sincerely thank the competition organizers for selecting the social project Online Platform for Real Deeds. My goal is to create and develop a movement of mutual support in Kazakhstan! The core of the project will be a website-accelerator where people can post what kind of help they need, and volunteers can choose the support they are able to provide.” – Viktoria Rodenkova, Almaty
