The Halyk Charitable Fund Donates 20 Children’s Playgrounds, 20 Workout Areas, and Six Football Fields to the Mangystau Region

The private Halyk Charitable Fund continues its support of the Mangystau Region. In 2022, the fund built 16 children’s playgrounds and sports grounds, as well as four football fields in the city of Zhanaozen.

Given the high demand for sports facilities, safe play spaces, and opportunities for children’s physical development and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, in 2023 the Halyk Charitable Fund additionally built 20 children’s playgrounds, 20 workout areas, and six football fields in Zhanaozen and nearby villages.

On October 20, 2023, the opening of the first ten children’s sports and playgrounds and six football fields took place in Zhanaozen. In December 2023, all playgrounds and football fields were officially transferred by the Halyk Charitable Fund to the Mangystau Region. This became a gift to the city’s residents in honor of the 55th anniversary of Zhanaozen. The total budget for the project was 415 million tenge.

This is just one of the many areas of social activity undertaken by the Halyk Charitable Fund in Zhanaozen and the Mangystau Region.

In August, the fund and the regional akimat signed a series of memorandums under which the fund will finance the restoration of the Beineu grain terminal, the construction of a desalination plant in Zhanaozen, the construction of a water desalination plant in Akshukur village in the Tupkaragan District, and a sports and fitness complex in Zhanaozen. In total, 3.55 billion tenge is planned to be allocated for these projects.
