The Halyk Charitable Foundation Has Been Awarded the ‘For Charity’ Title

The Halyk Charitable Foundation was awarded the honorary title ‘For Charity’ at the annual Forum of Philanthropists and Patrons, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information and the Center for Civil Initiative Support. This award recognizes the foundation’s significant contribution to aiding those affected by the devastating floods that impacted several regions of Kazakhstan in 2024.

The forum, which has become a central platform for discussing pressing issues in philanthropy, brought together leading representatives from business, civil society, and charitable organizations across the country. The Halyk Charitable Foundation, known for its active humanitarian work, demonstrated the key role that philanthropy plays in rescuing and restoring affected regions.

Fast and systematic assistance to victims

In a situation where thousands of families were left homeless and the infrastructure of many regions was destroyed, the Halyk Foundation quickly mobilized resources to provide assistance. More than 10,000 people received necessary support, and as part of the foundation’s long-term program, over 1,000 new homes were built in the Atyrau Region alone. These efforts have served not only as emergency aid but also as a systematic measure to restore regions affected by the disaster.

In addition, the Halyk Foundation donated 400 new apartments in the Compass North residential complex to the Astana Akimat, which were provided to families in need of support. These actions demonstrate the Foundation’s commitment to solving long-term social problems and improving the lives of Kazakhstanis.

‘It is a great honor for us to receive this award. Under the leadership of founders Timur and Dinara Kulibayev, our foundation always strives to be there for people during the difficult moments of their lives. This is not just our duty, it is our mission,’ — said Saginbek Shunkeev, Director of the Foundation. ‘We will continue to make every effort to help Kazakh citizens return to normal life after such trials.’
