Since November 2023, the Halyk Charitable Fund has served as the general sponsor of the Aul Football project, an initiative aimed at developing youth football in rural areas of Kazakhstan.

As part of the project:

  • 100 rural coaches were trained and certified under the UEFA “D” license program
  • 100 rural children’s football teams received training equipment
  • All coaches and managers completed a short SMM course on how to engage with children, parents, and sponsors on social media
  • Participants also completed an eight-hour course on the state program Per Capita Financing of Sports Sections (ARTsport)
  • 25 of the most active coaches and managers took part in a 20-hour Football Management course
  • The first of 14 planned regional tournaments was held in the Almaty region, with 16 rural teams and around 200 children participating
  • Three training camps for the #AulFootball national team were held at the BAQSY sports and recreation complex in the village of Kargaly

The Halyk Charitable Fund plans to continue expanding the project by organizing regional tournaments and a final national-level championship.

Thanks to these efforts, the Aul Football project has seen rapid growth. In November 2023, 32 teams from eight regions were participating. By March 31, 2024, the number had grown to 112 teams from 14 regions, involving more than 3,500 children. Around 90 additional teams have applied to join.

The project’s geographic reach now includes teams from the North Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, Turkestan, Zhambyl, Almaty, Jetisu, Aktobe, Kyzylorda, Kostanay, Karaganda, Atyrau, and Abai regions.

The success of the Aul Football project has been widely recognized. It was awarded the national Halyk Süyikti – People’s Favorite prize in the category of Best Social Project. The initiative continues to attract attention from the public, government bodies, and external organizations.

Interest in the project is growing daily. Citizens from across Kazakhstan are reaching out for guidance on opening football clubs in their villages. The project’s social media accounts have gained thousands of new followers, with increasing engagement from the community.

To date, the Halyk Charitable Fund has provided more than five billion tenge in charitable assistance for the development of sports and sports infrastructure.
