
The Halyk Charitable Fund places special emphasis on supporting the Mangystau region by financing key social initiatives that directly impact the well-being of local communities.
Since 2023, the Fund has allocated 4 billion tenge to the region, including:
- 1.8 billion tenge for restarting operations at the Beineu grain terminal
- 300 million tenge for installing a desalination system to supply clean water to 25,000 residents in the villages of Akshukur and Sain Shapagatov
- 402.5 million tenge for the construction of over 50 children’s facilities
- 1 billion tenge for building a physical culture and wellness complex on four hectares in Zhanaozen
- 500 million tenge for equipping three schools in the village of Beineu with modern educational resources
In addition, since 2022, the Fund has been implementing projects worth more than 4.2 billion tenge to address structural challenges in the region. These include:
- Construction of a sports and fitness complex in Zhanaozen
- Launch of the Beineu grain terminal
- Equipping schools in Beineu
- Building children’s sports and playgrounds in Zhanaozen
- Installation of a small desalination plant in Zhanaozen
- Development of a high-capacity desalination plant in Akshukur
These efforts are part of the Fund’s broader mission to address critical social issues and improve quality of life. In recognition of its contributions, the Akimat of the Mangystau Region named the Halyk Charitable Fund the Best Philanthropist in the Region for 2023.
