In November 2023, the Halyk Charitable Fund provided 58.3 million tenge in charitable assistance to the Regional Center for Children’s Technical Creativity, part of the Education Department of the Akimat of the West Kazakhstan Region. The funds were used for equipment purchases and facility renovations.
Thanks to this support, children at the center can now develop skills in drone piloting, video production, and competitive racing. Fully equipped computer labs also allow students to explore robotics, engineering, and programming through hands-on learning.
The NNEF Foundation and its affiliated IT universities played a key role in selecting and procuring the equipment, as well as organizing advanced training courses for the center’s educators. According to Maria Kovzhasarova, Head of the Education Department at the NNEF Foundation, collaboration with Astana IT University will give both students and teachers access to valuable resources and expertise.
Saginbek Shunkeev, Director of the Halyk Charitable Fund, emphasized that the most important investment is in children’s education.
Now renovated and outfitted with modern technology, the Children’s Technical Creativity Center in Uralsk is ready to offer students practical, future-ready skills. This project stands as a powerful example of how public and private partnerships can transform young lives and create meaningful opportunities for development.
