Social Housing in Astana
To support families in need and improve access to housing, the Halyk Charitable Fund financed the construction of social housing in Astana, allocating 11.2 billion tenge for the project.
The first step in the initiative was the signing of a memorandum with the Akimat of Astana. As a result, a modern Comfort-class residential complex was built near the new Nurly Zhol railway station. The complex consists of 11 buildings ranging from 9 to 17 stories. The total apartment area exceeds 20,000 square meters, with a total value of approximately 6.9 billion tenge.
This milestone significantly improved living conditions for 400 Kazakh families. The apartments are fully finished, connected to all utilities, and ready for occupancy. The residential complex, named Compass North, features a landscaped courtyard, secure gated access, video surveillance, children’s and sports playgrounds, recreation areas, and walking paths.
The first apartments under this memorandum were delivered in 2023.
It is important to note that the final allocation of apartments is managed solely by the Akimat of Astana. The Halyk Charitable Fund does not participate in the selection process.
For the families who received housing, this support represents more than just a roof over their heads—it symbolizes hope, stability, and a fresh start. By providing dignified living conditions, the Halyk Charitable Fund and the Akimat of Astana are laying the foundation for long-term social development and prosperity.
