
Ozgeris is the first online business incubator for schoolchildren in Kazakhstan. The goal of the project is to develop and improve entrepreneurial skills among schoolchildren that are necessary in the modern world.
Participants of Ozgeris powered by Halyk Fund have the opportunity to take free online entrepreneurial training, formulate and describe their business ideas, and win funding to implement them.
Participants: schoolchildren from 8th to 11th grade from all regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The mission of the project is to develop and improve the entrepreneurial skills necessary in the modern world among young people, so that every schoolchild can test their business idea and make their first sale.
The first stream of the project, which took place in November-December 2020, brought together 4,427 participants, 627 of whom completed the training, the number of winners who received grants for the implementation of business ideas was 34.
More than 1,000 applications were selected for the second round in February-March 2021, of which 457 projects made it to the second round, the number of winners who received grants for the implementation of business ideas was 40. Based on the results of the two rounds, 60 winners who received grants made their first sales. The total budget of the project is 70,000,000 tenge.
