Ozgeris

Ozgeris is Kazakhstan’s first online business incubator for schoolchildren, designed to develop and strengthen entrepreneurial skills among youth—skills that are essential in today’s world.

Through Ozgeris, students from grades 8 to 11 across all regions of Kazakhstan can participate in free online training, develop and pitch their business ideas, and compete for funding to bring those ideas to life.

The mission of the project is to empower young people with the tools and confidence to test their business ideas and make their first sales, helping them take their first steps into the world of entrepreneurship.

The first round of the program, held in November–December 2020, attracted 4,427 participants. Of these, 627 completed the training, and 34 received grants to implement their business ideas.

In the second round, held in February–March 2021, over 1,000 applications were selected, with 457 projects advancing to the next stage. Forty participants received grants. Across both rounds, 60 winners successfully launched their first sales. The total budget for the project is 70 million tenge.
