Helping Healthcare Workers Fight COVID-19

The Halyk Charitable Fund could not stand by while those on the front lines selflessly fought against the spread of infection. Our medical workers are true heroes.

Despite overwhelming workloads, the risk of infection, the uncertainty surrounding the virus, and immense psychological pressure, they stood strong—fighting for the lives and health of the people of Kazakhstan.

As a gesture of gratitude, from March to May 2020, the Halyk Charitable Fund provided direct cash payments to healthcare workers totaling 117,707,898 tenge.

In April 2020, the Fund also supplied hot meals to medical personnel and police officers stationed at checkpoints in Zhanaozen, amounting to 1,332,000 tenge.

Additionally, in May 2020, the Fund purchased personal protective equipment (PPE) worth 20,010,000 tenge to support frontline efforts in Almaty.
