The Halyk Charitable Fund, in partnership with the NNEF Public Foundation, has established educational grants to support talented, gifted, and motivated youth in accessing high-quality education.
By decision of the Board of Trustees, these grants provide students with the opportunity to study at one of the country’s top educational institutions—Miras International School in Astana and Almaty.
The grant program is not only a form of support for gifted youth but also an investment in the development of Kazakhstan’s future leaders. In an era of globalization and educational advancement, such initiatives are vital for nurturing students who are ready to contribute to the country’s progress.
Over the past four years, more than 1,000 students in grades 9–11 from cities and regions including Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Aktau, Aktobe, Karaganda, Semey, Pavlodar, and the West Kazakhstan and Almaty regions have participated in the competitive selection process.
Between 2021 and 2025, the Halyk Charitable Fund and the NNEF Foundation awarded 70 grants for study at Miras International Schools in Almaty and Astana. Of these, 20 were full scholarships (100%) funded by the Halyk Charitable Fund.
In the 2024–2025 academic year, 33 students are studying at the two Miras schools under the grant program. Sixteen of them are continuing into their second or third year, while 14 new high school students have received full scholarships from the Fund. The grants are awarded exclusively for grades 10–11 and include support for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.
