Educational grants from the Halyk Foundation to support talented, gifted and motivated youth to receive a decent education.
By decision of the Board of Trustees of the Halyk Charitable Foundation and the NNEF public foundation, educational grants were established that provide gifted, motivated children with the opportunity to receive a decent education in one of the best educational institutions in the country – the Miras International School in Astana and Almaty.
The grant program at the Miras school is not only a support for talented youth, but also a contribution to the development of future leaders of Kazakhstan. In the context of globalization and fundamentalization of education, such initiatives are an important tool for supporting gifted children who are ready to contribute to the development of the country and society.
Over four years, more than a thousand students from grades 9–11 from Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Aktau, Aktobe, Karaganda, Semey, Pavlodar, and the West Kazakhstan and Almaty regions participated in the competition. Between 2021 and 2025, the Halyk Charity Fund and the public foundation NNEF awarded 70 grants for studying at the “Miras” international schools in Almaty and Astana. Of these, 20 were full 100% scholarships from the Halyk Fund.
In the 2024–2025 academic year, 33 students will study at the two “Miras” schools under the grant program. Of these, 16 students are continuing their grant-supported studies into their second and third years. This academic year, 14 high school students will receive 100% scholarships from the Halyk Charity Fund. The grants are provided exclusively for grades 10–11 at the “Miras” international schools, including the Diploma Program.
