JUMYSTAP: Empowering Youth in Aktobe with Support from the Halyk Charitable Fund

In the Aktobe Region, the JUMYSTAP social project was launched with the support of the Halyk Charitable Fund, founded by Timur and Dinara Kulibayev. The initiative aims to improve the quality of life for young people by creating new income opportunities and providing access to stable employment.

As part of the project, the Halyk Fund supported the installation of five modular service points in high-traffic areas of Aktobe, offering free access to employment resources and consultations.

“Today, under the directive of the Head of Government, the JUMYSTAP social project is being implemented in Aktobe. The region is home to over 266,000 people aged 14 to 35. This initiative aims to improve their quality of life, open new sources of income, and provide stable employment,”

The modular points serve as hubs for job seekers and those looking to upskill or change careers. Services include:

  • Job vacancy listings
  • Free consultations on government support programs
  • Guidance on business registration
  • Assistance with housing and land applications
  • Career counseling and training opportunities

Importantly, participants can learn new professions free of charge in a short period of time. The project is operated by the regional youth resource center, in collaboration with the local administration and labor mobility center.

“We believe this project will help increase incomes and improve quality of life. The Halyk Foundation is always ready to support initiatives that promote community well-being and development in education, healthcare, and sports. JUMYSTAP is a vivid example of how government and private foundations can work together for the benefit of society,”
— Saginbek Shunkeev, Director of the Halyk Charitable Fund

Earlier, the Aktobe Region Akimat and the Halyk Charitable Fund signed a memorandum of cooperation to develop social and charitable projects in the region. JUMYSTAP is one of the first results of this partnership.
