Halyq Qurmeti Award 2020

The Halyk Charitable Fund has established a 220 million tenge prize for medical workers. The fund expressed its gratitude to those who were on the front lines, protecting the health and lives of our fellow citizens with professionalism, courage, and selfless dedication.
Dinara Kulibayeva, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Halyk Charitable Fund, initiated the HALYQ QURMETI–2020 award to honor medical workers and organizations for outstanding professionalism in the field of medicine, as well as for their significant contributions to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in Kazakhstan.
“Our doctors are real heroes who, despite the enormous workload, the risk of infection, the unknown nature of the virus, and emotional stress, continue to hold the line, fighting for the lives and health of Kazakhstanis. This is a true feat that deserves endless gratitude,” said Dinara Kulibayeva.
Medical workers and organizations selected as laureates of the HALYQ QURMETI–2020 award will receive cash prizes from the Halyk Charitable Fund. The total prize fund is 220 million tenge.
Medical professionals and organizations from all regions of Kazakhstan are eligible to apply. To become a candidate for the award, applicants must review the regulations, register, and submit all required documents on the official website: halyqqurmeti.kz.
To ensure an objective and transparent selection process, laureates will be chosen in several stages. The first stage is an open vote on the official award website. The second stage involves voting by the award’s expert council, which includes distinguished professionals in medicine, representatives of medical unions, organizations, and universities—individuals recognized for their authority and trust within the medical community.
Applications and public voting will remain open until December 25, after which the winners will be announced and awarded.
The Halyk Charitable Fund expresses its deep gratitude to all medical professionals in Kazakhstan. Since the introduction of the state of emergency, the fund has carried out extensive work to combat and mitigate the effects of COVID-19. This includes distributing food packages to large and low-income families, providing monetary payments to medical workers, and delivering essential equipment and medicines to healthcare institutions.
