Halyk Charitable Fund Becomes Main Sponsor of International Karate Tournament

On December 23, 2023, Almaty became the epicenter of martial arts as the Dostyk Sports Complex hosted the international Bel-Bilek Karate Tournament for children and teenagers. The event, dedicated to Kazakhstan’s Independence Day, brought together more than 700 athletes aged 5 to 17 from seven countries, including Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Iran, and Azerbaijan, as well as participants from Astana, Almaty, and multiple regions of Kazakhstan.

The tournament was organized by the Republican Public Association “Karate Federation of All Styles of Kazakhstan,” with the Halyk Charitable Fund serving as the general sponsor.

“Supporting youth sports is very important. We believe that the first steps our children take today will lead to great victories tomorrow. Through initiatives like these, we are preparing a new generation to represent Kazakhstan on the world stage. The Halyk Foundation prioritizes projects that contribute to the country’s development, particularly in education, sports, and social welfare.”

– Galymbek Zhaksylykov, Director of the Almaty branch of the Halyk Charitable Fund.
