Employees of Halyk Bank and the Halyk Charitable Fund Will Donate One Day’s Wages to Support Those Affected by the Floods

The staff of the country’s largest bank and the Halyk Charitable Fund have come forward with an initiative to donate one day’s earnings to Kazakhstanis affected by the massive floods.

The total amount of funds collected from employees amounted to nearly 200 million tenge. The bank’s management decided to more than double the amount, increasing it to 450 million tenge.

Earlier, Halyk Bank and the Halyk Charitable Fund transferred one billion tenge from their own funds to provide assistance to residents of flood-affected regions. In total, the amount of assistance provided by Halyk Bank and the Halyk Charitable Fund reached 1.45 billion tenge.

Halyk Fund is committed to corporate social responsibility and is consistently among the first to support fellow citizens in times of crisis. The bank expressed hope that the funds raised will help people who have lost their homes and property to endure these difficult times.
