AUYL SPORT: a new tradition where children’s dreams become goals

AUYL SPORT is a chance for thousands of rural teenagers to step onto the big stage. In 2025, the project will bring together more than 10,000 participants from across the country, proving that a champion’s journey truly begins in the auyl (village).
First victories and new names
The season opened in the Kyzylorda region. More than 1,200 children took part in the competitions, with 236 medals awarded. Zhanakorgan and Kazaly districts emerged as leaders, demonstrating a level worthy of a national final.

The young athletes themselves say:
I dream of becoming like Kamshybek Konkabaev. For me, AUYL SPORT is the first step into professional sport.
Partnership and support
The project of the Halyk Charitable Fund, led by Timur Kulibayev, is being implemented with the support of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
According to the Executive Director of the Halyk Charitable Fund, Galymbek Zhaksylykov:
AUYL SPORT is not a one-off tournament but a real platform. We train coaches, upgrade sports halls and give children what they didn’t have before – the opportunity to train seriously in rural schools.

From the village to the world
AUYL SPORT was launched in 2024 and has already shown impressive early results. More than 12,000 rural children took part in the tournaments, and many earned places at national and international competitions.
In spring 2025, project participants brought Kazakhstan its first medals on the world stage. This proved that the auyl can indeed raise champions.

Plans for the future
In 2025, the project’s reach will expand: tournaments will take place in every region of the country. The organisers aim to involve more than 10,000 schoolchildren in AUYL SPORT.
AUYL SPORT is not just a competition but a movement that opens the road to children’s dreams and shapes a new generation of champions.
And that road begins in the auyl.
