Another ‘Youth House’ for the Residents of SOS Children’s Villages Kazakhstan

Caring for children in difficult life situations is not limited by time. The SOS Children’s Villages of Kazakhstan Foundation and the founders of the Halyk Charitable Fund, Timur Kulibayev and Dinara Kulibayeva, demonstrate this through their example.

A four-room apartment was purchased for the children of the Temirtau Children’s Village in Karaganda. The Halyk Charitable Fund allocated 51 million tenge for its purchase.

Now, the young people studying at colleges and universities in Karaganda will no longer have to spend time commuting. In the Youth House, all comfortable living conditions have been created—the housing is furnished and fully equipped. Most importantly, the students’ mentors will always be nearby. The college is just a 20-minute commute.

This is not the first Youth House opened by SOS Children’s Villages of Kazakhstan. With the support of the Halyk Charitable Fund, two apartments were allocated in Almaty in 2019 to accommodate SOS families with children left without parental care.

It should be noted that the founders of the SOS Children’s Villages of Kazakhstan Foundation—the NNEF Public Foundation—have been actively supporting social projects and programs for children and youth since 2018.
