The Halyk Charitable Foundation was established in 2016 to implement large-scale charitable projects in the most important areas of life in our country: social protection and healthcare, sports, culture, and education.
The Halyk Charitable Foundation operates based on the principles of openness, transparency, and accountability, carries out its activities throughout the Republic, and strives to achieve tangible social impact for the greatest number of people across the country.
Over the years of its activity, the Foundation has implemented more than 120 projects and provided charitable assistance totaling over 85 billion tenge.
Founder
Timur Askarovich Kulibayev is a Kazakhstani entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist.
Since the beginning of his business career, Timur Kulibayev has been actively involved in charitable work, placing special emphasis on social, cultural, and educational projects. In 2016, to provide structured and systematic support for social initiatives, he founded the Halyk Charitable Foundation.
The Halyk Foundation implements projects in the fields of healthcare, education, culture, and sports, provides assistance to those in need, and supports initiatives aimed at the sustainable development of regions.
From its inception, the foundation has financed the construction of a full-fledged residential complex, 'Bereke City,' for low-income and large families in Almaty, featuring educational centers and children's clubs.
After the tragic events in the city of Arys in 2019, Timur Kulibayev allocated funds for the restoration of a kindergarten and a school.
During the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020–2021, under the direction of Timur Kulibayev, the Halyk Foundation implemented charitable programs totaling over 18 billion tenge. The allocated funds were used for food supplies for low-income and large families, the purchase, delivery, and maintenance of medical equipment and personal protective equipment, as well as monetary payments to healthcare workers.
In 2020, when residential homes in the Maktaaral district of the Turkestan region were affected by flooding, the foundation provided food packages weighing more than 50 tons in total.
In 2022, Kulibayev allocated five billion tenge to the public fund 'Қазақстан халқына' (To the People of Kazakhstan), and then another ten billion tenge to address social issues.
Also this year, funds were allocated for the construction of a 280-seat kindergarten in the Auekol district of Kostanay Region, which was affected by a forest fire.
In 2024, Timur Kulibayev allocated 30 billion tenge through the foundation and over 1.5 billion tenge through a group of companies to aid those affected by floods and to combat their consequences. These funds were used for housing reconstruction and construction, infrastructure restoration, and support for citizens affected by the natural disaster. This became the largest donation in the country.
In June 2024, Timur Kulibayev was presented with a letter of appreciation on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for his active participation in flood prevention measures and disaster relief efforts.

Unfortunately, we cannot publish information about each individual donation, so you can send us an email to info@halykfund.com indicating the date, amount of the transfer and the full name of the person who made the transfer. Within a few days, we will check the information and send you a response.
