100 Mangistau Teachers Completed The Halyk Charitable Fund’s Talimger Course

In the Mangistau region, a ceremonial event was held to present certificates to 100 teachers who completed training as part of the first round of career guidance and entrepreneurship courses under the Talimger project, according to a correspondent from the Kazinform news agency.

The program, launched by the Halyk Charitable Fund founded by Timur Kulibayev and supported by the Mangistau regional government, aims to equip schoolchildren and students with modern skills that are essential in today’s evolving economy.

The courses covered a broad range of topics—from career guidance strategies to the development and implementation of business projects. Teachers were introduced to contemporary tools for financial, digital, and media literacy, and gained access to exclusive teaching materials that will be integrated into schools and colleges across the region starting with the new academic year.

— This first graduating class is an important milestone for our region. We see the interest and enthusiasm of teachers who are ready to pass on the knowledge they have gained to their students. I am confident that through joint efforts, we will be able to nurture a new generation of proactive, creative, and responsible citizens, said Kuralay Gazimova, Deputy Head of the Department of Education of Mangystau Region.

According to Asemgul Kadyrkhan, head trainer of the Talimger project, the program is designed not only for students but also for teachers, as they play a key role in shaping the habit of thinking creatively, taking responsibility, and recognizing new opportunities in the younger generation.

Teachers who completed the training also shared their impressions.

— During the course, we learned so many interesting methods! Now I’ll be able to teach in a new way, engaging students in real-world projects. I’m very grateful for this initiative—it truly inspires us to keep moving forward, said Anar Tokbaeva, a teacher at Karakiya Professional College.

Ergali Gulzhan, a teacher, vocational therapist, and psychologist at the Aktau City Gymnasium, said:

— I especially appreciated the practical part of the program—case studies, business games, and discussions. It gave me confidence that we can truly prepare students for real life, said Ergali Gulzhan, a teacher, vocational therapist, and psychologist at the Aktau City Gymnasium.

— Talimger is not just a course—it’s a comprehensive development system. I’m grateful to the Halyk Charitable Fund and everyone who supported the project. Now we can offer children more than just textbook knowledge, added Aimgul Zhanadilova, Deputy Director for Professional Training at Aktau General Education School No. 19.

Teacher training will continue with the next cohort, and beginning in September 2025, the subject “Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and Business” will be introduced in all schools and colleges across the Mangystau region.

The Talimger project is part of a broader regional development initiative led by the Timur Kulibayev Foundation. This course aligns closely with the priorities outlined by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his Address to the Nation: “The fundamentals of entrepreneurship should be taught from schools to universities.” Initiated by the Halyk Charitable Fund, the program is a timely response to society’s and the state’s growing demand for practice-oriented education.
