100 Good Deeds: Halyk Bank Donates Playgrounds to Seven Cities in Kazakhstan

This month, construction was completed on new multifunctional playgrounds donated by Halyk, the country’s largest bank, in honor of its 100th anniversary as part of the 100 Good Deeds campaign. New playgrounds for children and teenagers were installed in seven regions of Kazakhstan: Ekibastuz, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Atyrau, Shymkent, Turkestan, Balkhash, and Konayev.
“As an organization with a strong sense of corporate social responsibility, Halyk Bank invests significant resources each year and, most importantly, puts its heart into developing public life and supporting charitable initiatives in Kazakhstan. The growth of any society starts from early childhood, which is why, to mark the bank’s 100th anniversary, we decided to gift playgrounds to children in seven regions. These spaces will help new generations embrace sports and healthy living while building friendships with their peers,” said Assel Orazbayeva, Head of PR at Halyk.
Halyk allocated 83 million tenge for the construction of all playgrounds. They were built to the highest standards of multifunctionality and convenience, taking into account the needs of children and their activity levels. All safety measures were considered during construction to help minimize injuries and accidents among children of all ages.
It’s worth recalling that last year, in celebration of its centenary and within the framework of the 100 Good Deeds campaign, Halyk implemented a large number of social and charitable projects. In May and June of this year, the bank presented two newly formed regions—Ulytau and Zhetysu—with new mini-football fields, and the opening of a third field in the Abai Region is expected soon.
Since last year, as part of the 100 Good Deeds campaign, Halyk has donated playgrounds to 25 cities across Kazakhstan, as well as accessible taxis for transporting people with disabilities. Finally, on June 22, the final of the Hope Cup, organized by Halyk, will take place in Almaty, featuring teams of boys and girls from orphanages and sponsored organizations from 16 regions of the country.
