1,000 Families Receive Food Packages from the Halyk Charitable Fund

The Halyk Charitable Fund distributed food baskets to 1,000 families in the Almaty Region. The fund’s support was extended to low-income families living in the Karasai, Zhambyl, Enbekshinsky, Iliysky, and Talgarsky districts, as well as to mothers with many children raising children with special needs.
According to the fund’s Managing Director, Nariman Abilshaikov, this initiative has been carried out systematically since 2020.
“As part of our programs, we often support low-income, large families facing difficult circumstances with food baskets. This is not a one-time initiative; it has been carried out systematically since the pandemic. In 2020–2021, over 100,000 food packages worth more than 2.5 billion tenge were distributed. This year, we plan to expand the scope of this initiative. Ahead of the new school year, we have scheduled support for 500 children from low-income families, providing them with school uniforms and all necessary learning materials,” said Nariman Abilshaikov.

The fund’s staff received a list of low-income families from local executive bodies. Food baskets were delivered directly to the homes of those in need.
One of the recipients was Venera Koshaeva, a resident of the village of Birlik in the Karasai District. Venera has five children, and the family rents a house on the outskirts of the village. They do not have a stable income.
“This food supply will last for 3–4 months. Pasta, sugar, flour, tea—these are our daily needs. In our current situation, receiving food is a great help. We thank the Halyk Charitable Fund for such support!” said the mother of many children.
