
The Halyk Foundation pays special attention to the situation in the Mangistau region, providing financial support for the implementation of social initiatives that are important for the local population.
Since 2023, 4 billion tenge has been allocated to the Mangystau region, including 1.8 billion tenge for the resumption of operations at the Beineu grain terminal, 300 million tenge for installing a desalination system to supply 25,000 residents of the village of Akshukur and the Sain Shapagatov aul, 402.5 million tenge for the construction of more than 50 facilities for children, and 1 billion tenge for the creation of a physical culture and wellness complex covering four hectares in Zhanaozen. In addition, 500 million tenge was allocated for equipping three schools in the village of Beineu with material and technical resources.
To address the structural challenges of the region, since 2022 the Fund has been implementing projects worth more than 4.2 billion tenge, including:
- construction of a sports and fitness complex in the city of Zhanaozen;
- launch of the Beineu grain terminal;
- equipping schools in the village of Beineu;
- construction of children’s sports and playgrounds in the city of Zhanaozen;
- small desalination plant for Zhanaozen city;
- high-capacity desalination plant for the village of Akshukur.
Support for such initiatives is one of the foundation’s programs for solving important social problems. Thus, based on the results of 2023, the Akimat of the Mangystau Region recognized the foundation as the best philanthropist in the region.
