On the eve of Kazakhstan’s Independence Day and in anticipation of the New Year, the Halyk Charity Fund continued its kind tradition, launching a charitable campaign across all regions of Kazakhstan. A total of 20,000 families nationwide received food packages—over 1 million kilograms of essential products worth 520 million tenge. Families in need received 50 kg packages containing rice, buckwheat, flour, pasta, vegetable oil, canned meat, sugar, tea, and a New Year’s candy set.
Systematic support was provided to low-income, large families, as well as families with children with special needs who found themselves in a difficult financial situation. About one thousand volunteers throughout Kazakhstan joined the campaign. These are mainly socially active young people, many of whom support the Foundation’s initiatives not for the first time.
In July 2021, as part of another charitable campaign, the Halyk Fund was able to assist 20,000 families across Kazakhstan. The total amount of aid provided exceeded 500 million tenge. Food baskets were given to families in need who had previously received support from the Fund. Each package contained essential items: rice, buckwheat, flour, pasta, vegetable oil, canned meat, sugar, tea, and candies—50 kilograms of products per family, totaling over one million kilograms of food. Distribution of the packages was carried out by volunteers according to lists provided by regional akimats.
The participants of the campaign strive to do good deeds, changing the lives of our compatriots for the better. By regularly supporting needy citizens with food products, the Halyk Foundation gives people the opportunity to direct their funds to other urgent needs of their children and families.
