
Assistance to victims of the man-made disaster in the city of Arys

In 2019, the Halyk Foundation and business partners of the Halyk Group allocated funds for the restoration of the Altyn-Tumar kindergarten and the I. Zhurba secondary school, which suffered from a man-made disaster in the city of Arys.
Repair and construction work was carried out around the clock, about 100 people were involved in the restoration of the building of the school named after I. Zhurba. The amount spent on restoration work amounted to more than one billion tenge.
The Halyk Charity Fund provided charitable assistance to the Central District Hospital of Arys in the amount of over 130 million tenge for the purchase of medical equipment. The new equipment enables the provision of a full range of timely medical care for emergency and planned surgeries, childbirth, as well as routine patient treatment. The purchased equipment includes an operating table, infusion and syringe pumps, a neonatal incubator, a phototherapy unit, pediatric medical heaters, a mammography system, hospital beds, ventilators, Bionet patient monitors, and much more. In total, over 30 units of medical equipment manufactured in South Korea, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland were purchased.
