The Halyk Foundation summed up the results of the Halyq Ymiti competition of social ideas

The Halyk Foundation summed up the results of the social ideas competition “HALYQ YMITI”. The total prize fund of the competition was 50 million tenge.
Since the beginning of September, 405 applications have been submitted to the competition from all over Kazakhstan. The contestants proposed social initiatives to support, train and employ mothers with many children, people with disabilities; to provide assistance to lonely elderly people and educational projects for schoolchildren and students.
When reviewing the competitive applications, the Foundation’s Board of Trustees assessed the relevance and significance of the social problem, the feasibility and scalability of the project, the expected social effect and the innovativeness of the solution methods.
The Board of Trustees of the Khalyk Charitable Foundation took into account the results of the public vote held on the competition website and selected 50 ideas from all regions of our country by open voting.
Each winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of one million tenge. The Foundation commented: “The winners of the competition proposed truly relevant ideas that certainly deserve implementation. The participants’ care and engagement are the key to solving our society’s social challenges. We wish them not to stop at what they have achieved, to keep moving forward and conquering new heights! May all their ideas come to life – we are confident that this will make our world a better place!”
The winners of the competition shared their emotions and plans.
Asemgul Abylkassenova, Nur-Sultan: “We are very happy to win the competition! Our project is ‘Promoting Financial Literacy Among the Youth of the Country.’ The online training in additional professional education combines practices for developing systemic knowledge and managerial competencies for young people. We plan to launch a two-month pilot in two regions of the country, followed by wider scaling. We sincerely thank the Halyk Charity Foundation and everyone who supported our idea!”
Viktoria Rodenkova, Almaty: “I’m very happy! I want to sincerely thank the competition organizers for selecting the social project ‘Online Platform for Real Deeds.’ My goal is to create and develop a movement of mutual support in Kazakhstan! The core of the project will be a website-accelerator where people can post what kind of help they need, and volunteers can choose the support they are able to provide.”
